Gerald graduated with the first class of the Nebraska LEAD Program in 1983. He regularly attends ILAC conferences gaining new experiences and knowledge each time. He currently serves on the boards Nebraska Agriculture Leadership Council (Nebraska LEAD Program) and the Nebraska LEAD Alumni Association.
He retired after nearly thirty years of municipal management and resides in Lincoln, NE with his wife, Beverly. He and Beverly own and manage a farm in northeast Nebraska. They are parents of three children, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He has traveled extensively within the continental U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia. His current interests are “civil discourse”, public policy development and all things HUSKER.
